Adélard Gautreau, 92, of Pré-d'en-Haut died Friday at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a brief illness.

Born in Pré-d'en-Haut, he was a son of the late Denis and Marguerite (LeBlanc) Gautreau. He had been a machinist with CNR prior to retirement. He was a member of Pré-d'en-Haut Golden Age Club.

Twice married, his first wife, the former Edith Gautreau, died in 1949. He is survived by his second wife, the former Rita Bourgeois; six daughters, Mrs. Francois Gautreau (Thérèse), Mrs. Hervé Lirette (Florence) and Mrs. Dollard LeBlanc; (Eliane), all of Pré-d'en-Haut, Mrs. Albert LeBlanc (Anne-Marie) of Belliveau Village, Mrs. Jean-Marie Gallant (Murielle) and Miss Huberte Gautreau, both of Moncton; two sons, Cléophas of Moncton and Roger of Pré-d'en-Haut; 22 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Joseph, died previously.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated Sunday at Notre Dame de L'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut.
